The Christmas tree T bought looks great. Today we made a run to Costco to stock up on items we were running out out of. T made the Home Depot side trip and found the long lasting garage opener light bulbs. We discovered these in WH when the ones in the garage door openers kept burning out. Lo and behold they make special bulbs that don't do that! Ours have burned out and hopefully these bulbs will last longer like they did in WH. T has been searching for a new star to put atop our tree. We haven't had one for a number of years when the last one bit the dust. We made do with various alternatives but they were never very satisfactory. When he was at Home Depot he spied an LED lighted star which now sits perfectly atop the tree - YAY! He trimmed it with tinsel garland and we plan to decorate the rest after dinner.
While we were at Costco, I noticed they were giving flu shots. We have been debating whether we should have the shot. Last year's vaccine was a complete failure. The person administering the shots said this year's vaccine seems to be spot on with 6 different flu viruses covered. So T and I both rolled up our sleeves and got a flu shot.
