The warm weather continued today with highs in the hi 70s. We heard about this place called Nojoqui (pronounced Ni-HOO-wee) Falls about an hour south of us. We took a drive down the coast and through a town called Solvang which is a little Danish enclave. The falls are about 100 feet high and since we've had so much rain of late, there was actually water coming over the falls. Apparently because of the way the water falls and the composition of the mountains, the falls are actually getting bigger. It was such a beautiful day and the place was packed. Here's a video of what we saw....
We doubled back through Solvang and had a wonderful danish treat of something called a Danish waffle - crispy danish wrapped around whipped cream with raspberries - yum. The town was started by some Danish immigrants looking to recreate a little Denmark. Everything is in the Danish design and has Danish names
..
.very cool.We ended the day with a great Italian dinner in Pismo at a restaurant called Giuseppes.
