After the rain

Well, December through February is the rainy season here on the central coast. They also say that there are 350 days of sunshine a year on the central coast. We had another 2 inches of rain overnight for what is about the 12th rainy day we've had since we arrived. The last two winters when we visited for the month of February there was not much rain resulting in drought conditions when we arrived. Today on my walk, there were showers which produced.... this rainbow over the golf academy.

Spring has surely sprung with the array of beautiful flowering plants and shrubs along my path. There is even a mountain laurel in full bloom. Reminded me of the mountain laurel we had in WH outside the living room window. I'm sure it's not in bloom at the moment!

Here are some pictures of the amazing shrubs that have burst into bloom.
