Today I went on a functional walk - to pick up some ricotta cheese for a lasagna. There is a grocery store called JJ's Market about 2 miles from our house. Along the way I took a few detours to check out some of the areas with new construction. Then I walked to the edge of the mesa and snapped a picture of the ag fields at the foot of the mesa. You can see the dunes along the horizon in the distance and the many fields, some planted and some just harvested.
It really is a pretty sight every time we head off the mesa.I got my ricotta and on the way home stopped at the fitness center and picked up some peaches and nectarines that someone had brought in. Yum!
