A Fun Day
With the price of gas continuing to escalate, we batch our trips to SLO and try to get many things accomplished in one trip. A while back we went to a shoe store called Charles Shoes in SLO. We went to replace a pair of T's shoes. That day Clark shoes was doing a trunk show. I found a pair of sandals I liked but they cost $100! yikes! Needless to say we didn't buy those but did buy a pair of shoes for T. The store was holding a raffle for a pair of Clark's shoes and the salesman (turns out he's the owner's grandson) encouraged us to put our names in for the drawing of a free pair of Clark's shoes. T's name was drawn! So we went to get that $100 pair of Clark's sandals for $0 - yay! I worked at the thrift store in the afternoon so we headed in around 5 and got to the store just as it was closing. We ate pizzas at Woodbridge pizza and people-watched while we waited for it to bake. My guitar teacher, Casey, was performing at Peet's Coffee Shop from 7 to 10 PM, so we stopped in for a cup of coffee and listened to him perform. He had groupees from his younger drum students and parents who came as well. It's nice of Peets to provide a venue for performers to play. There is another coffee shop in Morro Bay - Three Dog Cafe, where Casey hosts an open mike evening every other Friday. We made a stop at the Costco in SLO before heading home.
