Last night our volunteering stint at the Clark Center was fun. There were 8 ushers for the Kaleidoscope performance by the Arroyo Grande High School. The high school has put on this dance show for 47 years. It is open to any student who wants to dance with a group. The choreographers are primarily students who have been taking dance for a number of years. There were more than 200 students participating. It is sponsored by the phys. ed. department. As you can imagine there were mostly parents, grandparents, siblings and friends in the audience of nearly 550. The house holds about 600 so it was pretty crowded. There were about 20 dances representing hip hop, lyrical, tap, jazz and stomp. There was one group of elementary kids (must have been nearly 50 children) doing a number. Everyone was very polite. It was a great show to do our first volunteering stint.
Today I did my usual stint at the Thrift store. We are innundated with donations at the moment. I guess it's feast or famine.
