I am told that some residents have sunk to a "new low". Apparently there was a wedding reception at the Pavillion and a smaller gathering in another area. The smaller group opted for hors d'oeuvres and drinks while the wedding party opted for a full spread buffet meal. Some folks from the smaller venue crashed the wedding party and partook of the buffet and returned to their party room. Then a second group tried to do the same thing and were stopped by the bartender who noticed that they were not part of the wedding party! Really, how rude!
On another note, we got a new security system for the gates to the development. We each have a personal gate code and a personal number that can be punched in at the gate and will ring at our house so we can make sure we know the person before buzzing the gate open. At one time there was a code, 1234 that was the "anyone code", like if you wanted to give the pizza man a code but not your own. Apparently someone was getting calls at all hours of the night and finally got a caller id function and found it was coming from the gate. People were forgetting their new code and tried the old 1234 code which is now the call up number for this family, not the gate code . They have been assigned a new call up code and that solved their problem.
Isn't life exciting here at Cypress Ridge!!!
