The central coast has been visited by large schools of whales the last couple of weeks. Footage has made the national news and brought huge numbers of sightseers to the area. We went a few times to catch a glimpse of them and did on all occasions but not as closely as the TV footage. One day the pelicans were hanging out on the Avila Pier and T made friends with this one.
