The other day on my way home I passed a very busy intersection of Halcyon Road and Route 1. The entire area was covered with a thick blanket of butterflies. I almost had to turn on my windshield wipers to see. It was a particularly warm day (in the 70s) and I had the car windows down. The butterflies (I think they are fritillaries). They look very much like a monarch butterfly but are much smaller. It was a most amazing sight!
