Hurricanes

It's been a different experience following the hurricanes from the west coast. Rarely do we get hurricane type storms. We had a winter storm this pastFebruary with nearly hurricane force winds and rain. But hurricanes rarely come up the coast after crossing over Mexico. The water here is so cold that they would fizzle out pretty quickly anyway. We know people who have relatives in New Orleans so we watched Gustav with interest. Now with Hanna heading toward the east coast, I am thinking of all my friends along the south eastern shores and Florida. Ike looks like it is pretty powerful, followed by Josephine. I'll be heading toward Hurricane prone east coast on Thursday so Ike and Josephine could cause travel issues. So even though we've moved away from the east coast, those hurricanes still have far reaching impacts.
