Just another beautiful day on the central coast
We are really spoiled here on the California central coast. We went to Los Osos today in search of our nut man. He makes the best honey roasted and smokehouse roasted almonds. The almonds are grown in the central valley. He comes from Hanford, CA where many of the almond orchards are. Temperatures were perfect in the low 70s with a light breeze. After stopping at the Los Osos/Baywood farmers' market we wended our way up the coast to Morro Bay. The wild life was in great evidence with large flocks of great white egrets, a large family of seals, pelicans everywhere and even a log pretending to be an otter! The local tourists (read US) have pretty much left the area but there were many foreign languages among the tourists in Morro Bay. Many people were kayaking in the estuary getting an up close look at the wildlife.
