Craicmore

The Clark Center in AG is the town's performing arts center totally built with private donations. Tonight they brought Craicmore to town. Craicmore doesn’t do rebel songs or drinking songs. Instead, they draw their words and music from the traditional music of Ireland and Scotland while claiming influences as diverse as the Afro Celts, Chieftains, the Pogues, rock, and Australian indigenous music. They may be singing “Cunla” in Irish, but they will also be delivering “Mairi’s Wedding” complete with electric bass solo, and featuring conga drums in their show-stopping “Cape Clear Set.” They are from all over but Ireland now mostly from LA - they were very good.
