The various counties do controlled burns during times when it is safe to do so. This is one of those times. We have potential rain coming and areas that need to be thinned. Santa Maria,a bigger city about 20 miles to the south in Santa Barbara county is managing a control burn starting yesterday. It must have been a pretty big burn as I could see it from the entrance to our development.

Controlled burn
The various counties do controlled burns during times when it is safe to do so. This is one of those times. We have potential rain coming and areas that need to be thinned.
