The Holidays

There are so many activities this Holiday season. We had a great time with cousin P and S with their daughter, and friends of theirs and their daughters. There was just the right amount of food and it was all delicious. Of course I made a mini Thanksgiving on Monday so we would have some turkey leftovers in the house. We then ushered for the Clark Center's performance of the Nutcracker - very good and the children were adorable. Last Sunday there was a great Christmas parade in the village with children, dogs, farm equipment all showcased along with vintage cars, fire engines, bands and children of all sorts followed by Christmas carols and the lighting of the tree in front of town hall. Then Nipomo high school put on their production of "Anything Goes" and as usual it was excellent. In spite of graduating a senior class of extremely talented actors, the next group coming up have stepped it up and "represented" well. Next week Arroyo Grande puts on their production of "Footloose" and then there is a Celebration Choir and Holiday Sing Along. This Sunday there is the Christmas parade of golf carts and children followed by a Christmas dinner at the Pavilion in our community. The Village stores are having a "stroll" type kick off this Sunday afternoon as well. So much to do and all so enjoyable.
