The nut man

Yesterday we went looking for our favorite nut man. We have found the most delicious locally grown almonds. They come from Hanford, California. The grower sells them at many of the local farmers' markets but none on the South County markets. The closest one is in Los Osos, where we rented the first winter we came to California. That's where we discovered him. He has many varieties of nuts but we find the best ones are the smokehouse and the honey roasted almonds. If you buy $20 of nuts he always throws in a 1/2 lb of local walnuts. Yum. Bought a couple of bags to take to Chicago.
