Hace mucho calor

Yesterday the Santa Ana winds kicked up their heels and blew into the area. They say that the winds let you know that fall has come. Along with the winds comes the high temperatures from the valley. It was 100 and up in many central coast communities and only in the 80s in traditionally warmer areas like Paso Robles and Atascadero. The town of Arroyo Grande made it to 96 degrees but it only made it to 89 at our house. We had a party to celebrate my birthday last night and P & S and Aunt L and her companion all came for a dinner of t-pang, noodles, green beans with black beans, home made pot stickers, cucumber salad and chocolate mocha cake for dessert. The temperature cooled down as the sun set and it was in the high 60s by the time they left. Today it was milder but warmer than it has been. A really beautiful late summer day.
