Halloween decorations already!!!

Today is September 20 and by my calculation, Halloween doesn't arrive until October 31. Granted there doesn't seem to be another universal holiday in between now and Halloween other than maybe Columbus day and who decorates for Columbus day! On my walk today there were 2 houses outfitted in Halloween splendor and another one on the way. Some people just have way too much time on their hands or I just don't get it!
